Verified ReviewerGlacier Bay toilet tank cracked and broke
Glacier Bay toilet tank cracked and broke. Would love to get a replacement tank that I can either pick up at the store or have delivered.
Sticker inside says glacier Bay (round toilet) 2rc08 UPC 132992****14( elongated toilet) 2EC08 UPC 132992****11 1.28 gallons per flush. I would rather not buy a whole toilet. I don't even care that its the same one, just one that fit and connected correctly. Most importantly id prefer to not have to deal with an old wax ring.
Itd take me less than 20 minutes to replace a whole toilet but *** than nasty wax ring.
Most tanks I've seen though cost more than a basic whole toilet. I rent and am looking to move soon so it's not something I'm looking to invest a lot in to
- Classic simple and universal designs
- Cost of replacement tank is almost the same as whole
Preferred solution: Replacement tank

Verified Reviewer | Washington, District Of ColumbiaCould not return to Home Depot
Contractor did not do work on a timely basis so another contractor came in and said it was the wrong product for what needed to be done. I tried to take back.
It was cumbersome and heavy for a 77 year old woman. I went to customer service and they said it was purchased a year ago and Home Depot has a policy that an item has to be returned within 90 days. All I wanted was a store credit so I could get the right product. I had it put in my car and I had to pay someone to put it in my storage unit
In these times a 90 day return policy is unrealistic.
It has Home Depot shipping tags on the box. All of the other stores take back their merchandise without question I brought some items that were not taken out of the shipping box from Costco. I learned it was bought five years ago. They had no qualms and credited my account
It takes a long time to gain a customer and seconds to lose them
Then I called customer service on line.
It took over an hour.
I listened to the same recorded announcement until my phone died. I called the next day and they said they could do nothing because the contractor had paid and without his receipt I was entitled to nothing EVEN THOUGH I paid the contractor for his purchase
It will be a very long time before I walk into Home Depot again and I have a rental triplex that I am renovating, a condo, and a 70 year old home I am renovating
- Excellent products
- Cannot return past 90 days
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Do not have your contractor purchase an item from Home Depot until the last minute. You never know if the contractor gets sick, there is a prolonged pandemic or if you will ever use the item within 90 days

You should be mad at the original contractor, not Home Depot. Ninety days is plenty of time for a return. I know I don’t want to buy an item that was laying around in your home over 90 days.
