Glacier Bay Products in San Diego, California - I need a shower part
I bought a Glacier Bay shower faucet that was missing the machine screw that anchors the hexagonal valve stem to the cartridge and allows me to secure the faucet handle. I Glacier Bay last week and ordered the missing part based on the part number pictured and listed in the installation booklet. I received the part today. The part number is hand-written on the envelope (RP50199 ), but the screw is not the correct one – It is a flat head screw and what is needed here is a round head screw. This one does not even fit through the faucet handle and will not anchor it properly.

This faucet came with a plastic piece called a quick connect. Pure junk. Dosent tighten very well sink is loose all the time. Wish they had a better mounting system.

same issues. Experienced plumber can only tighten it to 80% nut then just spins.

Our plumber of 40 years installed, but because the stem is not threaded, the unit at the base where it meets our granite countertop constantly is loose. How can it stay secure without a threaded stem and nut to secure tightly??? We are now stuck with this and our...Review

Remove the plastic “quick mount connection” and replace with a brass mount with tightening screws. You can either call glacier bay and they will send you for free, because they know the plastic is crap, or you can special order through Home Depot for $7.
I special ordered mine.
